Our smoked tuna is made with Greek extra virgin olive oil. The natural smoking process gives it a unique flavor, and the ingredients include 68.75% smoked tuna and 23.75% organic olive oil.
Our tuna is a high-quality yellowfin species, certified by Friend of the Sea (FOS) for sustainable fishing practices and compliant with the Dolphin Safe treaty. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and is preserved in the finest Greek extra virgin olive oil from organic farming. The smoking process does not add any artificial smoke flavor or smell.
Thinkgreen's selected yellowfin tuna is from the Albacaris group, known for its pale red color, firm and soft texture, and delicate flavor. It comes from the Atlantic or Indian Ocean and is subject to the Dolphin Safe treaty, which ensures sustainable fishing practices. We smoke our yellowfin tuna using smoke from burning beech, pine, and oak chips. These chips are imported from overseas with the appropriate certifications and are treated to kill any bugs before being cut into chips. The smoke is carefully blended to enhance the natural flavor of the albacore yellowfin tuna.
